Johnnie King

Johnnie had her accident on May 8th 2008. Another vehicle caused the accident and fled the scene. They got a tag # but the vehicle was stolen. Johnnie's insurance took care of this for her. Our hearts and prayers go out to Johnnie, she has had a tough year. She lost both of her parents, she has had a motorcycle accident and she was hit from behind in her truck. Johnnie recieved a donation from the TRB CBA Down Riders Fund and it was delivered to her by Sue & Gary Woodring on June 20th. Johnnie thanked us all very much!! We hope things get better soon Johnnie!!

Just wanted to thank you for spreading the word on Bobby. We do appreciate everyones thoughts and prayers during this time. I spoke to Gary earlier this evening, told him that Bobby had his second surgery today and is scheduled for more surgery on Thursday. The doctors here at Duke are trying everything they can to save his leg. This will make the 3rd surgery in one week on his leg. Since I spoke with Gary, his blood pressure has been dropping and they have him on all kinds of meds and are watching him closely. I just wanted to update you, since you said that Garys' memory was as long as his .....!!!! HAHA!! Just playing Gary!! Well again thanks for everything and be sure to tell everyone we said hello and we do appreciate everything that everyone has done for us.

We love you all

Just wanted to thank you and the entire CBA for the kind donation that we received.  It will definitely be used towards what Bobby needs to adjust to coming home and his medication.  He is doing excellent.  He has started rehab as far as getting out of bed and walking on a walker with his elbows. Right now he will be going through a lot of physical therapy as far as the use of his arms, left hip and leg.  He will also have more surgery on his leg as far as bone grafting to repair his leg, and will go through a lot of facial surgery to repair his face and get him some teeth. He said he cant wait to eat a big fat juicy steak. He will be on a walker and wheelchair probably about a year.  We are in the process of getting him transferred home right now. He will be transported by road ambulance, the air ambulance is not covered under our insurance. I just arrived back to the house since he will probably get home within the next 2 weeks.  I have a lot of preparing to do such as getting the hospital bed and building a ramp for the front porch to get him in and out of the house.  He is hoping to make the benefit party for him on the 23rd but probably will not be able to stay the entire party.  If he is not able to make it he has asked for me to go and represent him instead.  Again Bobby and I would like to thank all the members of the CBA and others for all your help and prayers through this difficult time in our life.
We love you all and will see you soon

Update on Bobby Pittman

Sorry I havent written any sooner, have been spending alot of time at the hospital with Bobby.  He is doing well.  He will be going into surgery again this Thursday for more repairs on his left arm and to have more facial repair done.  He is awake and aware but with lots and lots of pain.  He is starting some physical therapy this week.  I have been working on him with the therapy and being his nurse (PRIVATE NURSE!!!)  :)  He still has more surgeries on his left leg to make sure of no infection.  They said he would be in the hospital for 3 months, but if he keeps progressing might be sooner.  He still will be either using a walker or me pushing him in a wheelchair.  He did want me to tell everyone thank you very much for all of the thoughts and prayers, he misses everyone and soon as he is able to moved I am bringing him back to NC.

I am planning to come back the weekend of the benefit in house poker run for Bobby on 2-23-08 that is being held in Stantonsburg.  Bobby of course wants to be there but we are not sure yet. But he wants me to be there to represent him and thank everyone.  I will probably fly out that Friday evening and come back to Miami on Sunday night/monday morning.

Well it is late, just checking my emails....I will definitely keep everyone informed as time goes on.
Again, thanks for everything that everyone has done!

Love you all!!!
Tammy
