News Letter

Wow, another year coming to an end. As we go into 2011 we challenge all members to come up with fun rides and ideas for fundraisers to raise money for the State funds. Lets get as big as we can in 2011 and we need everyone help.

Lets welcome Eddie Mercer and Wade Moore into their new positions as President and Vice President for 2011. They have some real good ideas on what they would like to see happen with TRB so I ask that everyone support them in their endeavers this year.

Eddie, Wade, Mary, Jesse, Linda, Bob and I went to the Officers training and State Banquet on Nov 20th in Greensboro and for those who did not make it what a great time you missed. The banquet was a murder mystery dinner and the cast was terrific. Alot of interaction with the audience to help solve the murder. After the dinner we socialized on the 2nd floor and they continued on until the wee hours of the morning having luggage rack races in the hallway.

Our Christmas party was held Dec 11th at Wendy Trails and as always we had a fabulous time. Pleasure2Burn was the band and entertained us from 7-11 with some good rock songs. Our buffet of roast beef and baked ham filled up the guests getting them ready for a fun filled drinking night to party. For the 2nd year in a row Mark Brewer got the bag of coal. (Oh Mark, there is always next year to behave but then again what fun would that be)....Tom Umberger had to miss the party this year as his mom was sick. So he flew to California to be with her. As I get details I will share them with you. We did a 50/50 drawing with our share of the proceeds going to the Middlesex Childrens Home. We raised $50.00 and had $40.00 donated. Thank you TRB for your kindness and thanks to everyone who helped clean up before leaving Saturday night as it helped Bob & I a great deal on Sunday.

I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Christmas and New Years. And I will see you in 2011
