As I lay around recovering from my surgery, let me summarize December for you.
We started our helmet raffle in December. We bought one helmet and the other was donated by Joyners Motorcycle Accessories in Winterville. All proceeds will go to the State Helmet Defense Fund. The winner will be drawn at the Feb social night. If you would like some tickets get up with Bob. If you have tickets and haven't sold them please get up with Bob so we can get them sold.
Our logo contest is coming to a close on Jan 21st. So if you would like to submit a logo please do so. Go to the Logo Contest page on our website and look at the logos that have been submitted and cast your vote for our new merchandise logo.
We went to the Middlesex Children's Home on December 13th and had the Children's Christmas party. We had 27 children this year and everyone seemed to have a good time. The menu was fried chicken and the fixings. We had homemade desserts and drinks. After the gifts were given out by Santa Gary, some of the kids went out to see the bikes. Thanks to everyone who participated in this event, without you this couldn't have happened.
After the children's home party, we went on to Wendy Trails for our CBA Christmas Party. We had a great turnout considering it was a long day for most of us. Thanks to the band, Lauren Paige and the Midnight Highway for playing. If you want a great country/rock band this group is it.
Gary made 2 Redneck Christmas trees out of Bud cans. He gave one to Wendy and gave the other one away as a door prize. Check out the photo page on the website to see these trees. They are terrific.
Thanks Wendy, for another great CBA Christmas party.
There were 2 New Years Eve parties put on by members. Wendy Trails had a casual get together while The Hogs Pen put on a Disco themed party. I hope each place had a successful turnout.
Now as we start our new year with new endeavors for CBA, I hope we all are successful in all that we do and have a happy, healthy and prosperous year.
Hope to see you at the Jan 21st meeting.
