Spring is Here and Its time to Ride
Hope everyone had a good St Patricks Day and didn't drink too much green beer.
Our social night was held @ Western Sizzlin in Wilson on March 4th. We had approximately 16 members in attendance. The next social is April 1st, 2009 and its time to ride.. For the next several months we will meet at Wendy Trails in Statonsburg around 6:45 pm and leave there at 7:00pm. If you can't make it by 7 pm call the bar (252-238-2492) and ask where we were heading. We will plan on riding our bikes for awhile and stop somewhere to grab some fast food. If the weather should be rainy or too cold we will still plan on meeting @ Wendy's and go to one of the local fast food restaurants in that area. UPDATE: We will be riding to Heroes Sports Bar & Grill, 101 N Berkley Blvd, Goldsboro next to KMART
Sunday Rides: We will start our Sunday rides on April 5th. Meet at Golden Corral in Wilson leaving the parking lot promptly @ 10:00. You may not be able to go every week. So, if you can make it great, if not maybe next week.
The TRB Gun Raffle is fast approaching so we need to start preparing now. We need door prizes so if you can get donations it would be greatly appreciated. The guys have been putting up our flyers all over town trying to get the word out. If you know of any other way to advertise please bring to the table. If you have raffle tickets that you can't sell please turn them back into Tom McLaughlin so he can get them sold.
The winner of $32.00 in the 50/50 drawing was Stewart Vester.
Finally, a winner of the Attendance drawing. Jesse Watson of Pikeville won the attendance prize of $210.00. We will start over at the next Leg Meeting on April 15th.
MSAP PROGRAM: There will be a meeting with Rita Spaulding to help any one wishing to participate in the MSAP Training Program. This meeting will take place on April 17th @ 7 pm at Jesse and Linda's house. If you need directions call Jesse at 919-778-0049.
Linda and I have been working on ordering T-shirts with our logo on them. I have contacted a business in Wilson and have been going over pricing, quality and colors with her.
Cliff Jackson Memorial: Patsy and Mike Bullock of the Hogs Pen are starting their preparations for the 2nd Annual Cliff Jackson Memorial Run on Aug 29th. If you are interested in volunteering for this event please contact Patsy or Mike at the Hogs Pen. They are looking for volunteers and donations for all areas of this event.

Next State Meeting is April 18th, 2009 Anyone that would like to ride over contact Jesse or Bob. These meetings are good experience for our new Officers to meet the other Chapter members and know what the State Meetings are about.
Tom Mclaughlin holds his Concealed Weapons Class the second Saturday of the month. If you are interested go to the events page to look at the flyer and contact Tom for an appointment.
