We had 17 members in attendance. The attendance drawing was $28.00 with Lib Vaudo's name drawn. She was not in attendance so the money goes over to the next Leg. Meeting in May.
Bob had a Moment of Silence for Donna Evans mom, Marie known to many of TRB as Mama Marie. She was in a bad car accident in March and passed away on April 6th, 2010. Ron Jansen, former TRB Leg Coordinator passed away on April 12th, 2010 from a incurable brain tumor. Please keep these families, our families in your thoughts and prayers as they go through a very difficult time.
Thanks to John Vaudo and Debbie Burke for getting the Towns of Rocky Mount and Walstonburg to proclaim the Month of May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. The Proclamations were held on April 12th and 13th. TRB members that participated were John & Lib Vaudo, Bob & Debbie Burke, Stewart Vester, Mike and Zack Bullock. Snow Hill will have their proclamation on April 28th, 2010 at 7:00pm. Everyone welcome to join us as Snow Hill joins the towns that recognize us. It would be nice to have all our hometowns participating...All it takes is a letter or phone call to your local Mayor...
In the Treasurers news....as of January 1, 2011 each chapter will become its own entity and be required to have their own tax id number. The Article of Incorporation will cost $60.00. Darlene will file the taxes for 2010 and starting Jan 2012 we will file our own. This will be a learning curve for both the State and each Chapter.
Updates on the Eastern District Swap Meet: Is everyone ready to participate? Bob and Matt will meet at the fairgrounds on Saturday morning to go over the floor plans and designate spots for our vendors. We have 15 confirmed vendors. Bob will be marking the floor Thursday night around 6:00pm if anyone would like to help. If anyone would like to help please call Bob or Debbie and let us know when you are available. Everyone will pay to get in to the Swap meet including workers. If you have worked 4 consecutive hours you will then be able to fill out a paper to get your money back. Chapter Treasurers will be working the gate. The schedule is as follows: subject to change

The Doghouse Sports Bar in Wilson will be hosting their first bike night on April 23rd. If you are out riding after work please stop by and visit. Lets help them make this a success...
Tar River Gun Raffle update: still need door prizes. Ticket sales are down...We have had 170 tickets turned in and a total of 700 still out. Push, Push, Push your ticket sales.
Southern Iron will be hosting a party at Wendys on May 15th starting at 1:00pm. They be providing 3 bands and food. Admission will be $10.00 at the door. Wendy has confirmed that we can set up a table at the door to sell tickets. Bob & I will be tending bar for Wendy so if you are available to sit at the table please let us know.
Bill Starnes, Western District Coordinator has asked for each chapter to get a Helmet Citation Coordinator and John Vaudo has stepped into this position. Thank you John.
Cabarrus-Rowan had 59 renewals the first quarter and Gaston had 21 new members. As of the first quarter we have 1279 members.
State Banquet is set for November 20th and a detailed budget will be available at the next meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend. Its a great time.
