Newsletter May 2010

We would like to take this time to welcome our new members: Ronnie & Linda Bunn, Jim & Lisa Britt, Darrell Jackson & Karen Batts, Rusty Lane & Cheryl Jeffris, Steve Raper.

Also, I would like to thank all members that have renewed for another year.

Robby Holland was in a motorcycle accident on May 8th resulting in a broken collarbone and 3 broken ribs. Keep Robby in your thoughts as he recovers from his injuries.

Linda Watson had to have surgery on her ankle again on May 12th. She will be out of commission again for 4 weeks or so. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Patsy Bullock resigned her position as TRB Leg Coordinator at the Swap Meet as she doesn't have the time to devote to this. We spoke to John Vaudo about taking over for the remainder of the year and he has chosen to so. Thank you John for stepping up for us.

The swap meet wasn't a very big success as in past years. I passed out survey cards to the vendors and asked what did they like and dislike about the swap meet. Most of the cards came back to advertise more, reduce cost and have independent judges for bike show. We will get TRB ideas on what they would like to see for next year and I will turn them in to the next State meeting in July.

The annual TRB Gun Raffle was a great success. We had very nice weather and a great crowd. Our totals were within a couple hundred dollars of last year. I will have total breakdown for the next legislative meeting.

Proclamations to date are: Rocky Mount, Walstonburg, Snow Hill &Tarboro. Patsy has asked Macclesfield, Fountain,Pine Tops & Farmville to join in making May Motorcycle Awareness Month.

Joe Braden was the winner of the 50/50 drawing.

Andy Alexander name was drawn for the attendance drawing for $49.00. Andy was not present so the money will turn over to June meeting.
