Hope the Easter Bunny was good to you all..
Our social night was held @ Heroes in Goldsboro on April 1st. We had approximately 12 members show up and ride to Goldsboro. I had sent an email out early afternoon that we wouldn't be riding as the weather didn't look like it would hold out but members started calling asking if we were going to ride so we decided last minute to go ahead. Jim Loper took us on a nice ride there on the back roads and the weather decided to hold out.
The next social is Wednesday, May 6th, 2009. We will ride to El Rancho Mexican Rest. in Tarboro at the Riverside Plaza. We will meet at Wendy Trails in Statonsburg around 6:45 pm and leave there at 7:00pm. If you can't make it by 7 pm call the bar (252-238-2492) to make sure we still rode. If the weather should be rainy or too cold we will still plan on meeting @ Wendy's and go to one of the local fast food restaurants in that area.
Recently, there has been alot of area motorcycle accidents which have involved careless and impaired auto drivers. These cyclists had no way of avoiding these accidents which left 3 bikers dead. We need to get the word out to drivers that we are back on the road and to be more observant. Please take caution when approaching an intersection, don't take for granted that the other guy is going to stop. The only person looking out for YOU is YOU. Stay alert, be cautious and have a safe riding season.
Follow-up: There was a memorial ride on Sat. April 25th for the members of the Frog Level MC. Bob, Debbie, Cowboy and Pete Frede represented CBA/TRB. There were approx 200 bikes from all over the states to pay their final respects to these men. There were many motorcyle clubs involved with this ride, Tuscarora, Ghost Riders, Southern Sin, Iron Order, Hope Mills Veterans MC to name a few.
Sunday Rides: We started our Sunday rides on April 5th. We met at Golden Corral in Wilson and rode to Rocky Mount had brunch, sat around and got caught up with Tom Umberger, rode to Wendy Trails for Gail's birthday party and finished our afternoon off by riding to the Hogs Pen in Macclesfield. It was a beautiful day to ride. We will meet every Sunday at the Hardee's in Wilson (across from Walmart) parking lot leaving promptly @ 11:00. Some members like to leave earlier as to take a longer day ride so if there is a group leaving prior to 11:00 I will post it on the front web page. If you would like to eat prior to leaving feel free to do so. Everyone may not be able to go every week but it is available to those who would like to meet and just go for a day trip somewhere. So, if you can make it great, if not maybe next week.
The TRB Gun Raffle is almost here so we need to start to get everything lined up. We still need door prizes so if you can get donations it would be greatly appreciated. If you have raffle tickets that you can't sell please turn them back into Tom McLaughlin so he can get them sold.
The winner of $20.00 in the 50/50 drawing was Tom McLaughlin of Walstonburg .
The winner of $23.00 attendance drawing was Kristie Barnhill of Walstonburg.
MSAP PROGRAM: There was a meeting with Rita Spaulding for anyone wishing to participate in the MSAP Training Program. This meeting took place on April 17th @ 7 pm at Jesse and Linda's house.

I have ordered t-shirts, ladies tank tops and muscle shirts from Parrott Canvas in Greenville. It took some time to come up with a logo that didn't incorporate something that was already copywrited. Go to the website to see the new logo for TRB. We should have them ready in the next week. I will send an email when I have them in hand if you should want to get one prior to a meeting. COMING SOON: I will be making a folder on the website that will list the items we have for sale and a price list.
